Hooray for return business!!! The only return business I have gotten up until now has been family and my close friend (please keep in mind that this is my first year doing this, it's not because I'm awful). So I'm really excited that Kaeli asked me to do more for her! It's also exciting because I love Kaeli and her little family, and I'm glad we have a reason to stay in touch after our table-waitin' days.
Look at them eyes.... Little miss sassy pants is going to always get her way with those.
Look what I can do now!!! I can make Christmas cards! And if you people order them through me, it'll save you money!!! It won't, unfortunately, save you money if you don't order them through me because Walgreens and Wal-Mart charge high for 5x7s and don't offer you to order just a 4x8. So if you like what I make, or want to come hang out with me and show me what you want, please let me know. These can be completely custom- nobody else will have a card like it!
Many of you probably have experienced this from me, but I'm super paranoid about not doing a good job. I often leave a shoot and worry that I didn't get good shots, and that is stressful, because who wants to waste away and hour and money for nothing. I regularly want to tell my client not to pay me after the session, but I avoid it. The good news is, every single time I have doubted my ability, the pictures amaze me and turn out beautifully.
This situation wasn't any different. I pulled a Jami, left my camera home and didn't realize it until I got to this home, which isn't in my neighborhood. So in the end, I was well-over a half hour late, and that can completely set off an appointment. In this case, it led to an awake baby, and newborn shoots are easiest when they are sleepy. But it turns out, you can't make a beautiful thing look bad. Babies amaze me, and this little guy is no different. These turned out so sweet, and now my baby fever is uncontrollable.
This little girl started off very shy, but we warmed up to each other, and eventually she showed me some smiles. The boys on the other hand, they were outgoing and loving the camera, and they came off as extremely protective over their sister. I'm glad I got to work with this family, they were fun, and came with a lot of ideas to work with.
Remember Thadius's senior pictures from a couple of weeks ago??? Well these ones may look familiar, considering they are of his twin sister. I even tried to do one shot that was the nearly the same. These were fun to do, I got her out sorting through the thorns and crazy bushes, and I even decided to slip on some mud and fall flat on my back... don't worry everyone, my camera was ok.
Alright, everyone, you are about to see the easiest photo sitting I've ever done. The only thing about this entire sitting that was complicated was the wind blowing everyone's hair around. As much as I love the taking pictures of young children who put me on their agenda and keep me on my toes, kids this age who just smile when I hold my camera up can be refreshing. Thank you, Kiel Family, for letting me take these great pictures!
This makes me happy. I love puppies, and I love it when they come to the sitting.
